Kia Motors America
As a strategic innovation partner for Kia, I was challenged to brainstorm, conceptualize, and execute an emerging technology solution to enhance the launch of the all new Niro and gain PR traction to boost the conversation. Working with multiple vendors the team built a web responsive, mobile VR showroom that allowed users to build and price an all-new vehicle and revisit their unique build online or at the dealership.
With an experience spanning multiple channels and a complex integration across lower-funnel tools, it was critical for this project to have a proper UX research phase. This included an analysis of user journeys and identifying all points of entry. I collaborated with the UX team in order to properly position the experience for all users. The experience even included a free Niro-branded viewer.
The experience generated 23000+ hand-raisers. My team and I delivered an app-free experience that could be integrated into Kia.com. No app meant the experience would be accessible to everyone. We offered the ability to build a car and then explore that trim in a virtual showroom where the user could transport to different views, spin the car, change the color and even go inside to view the interior.
